Nec 2017 section 430 require voltage drop calculation anywhere? I understand elsewhere it stated for information note only however is their a code requirement in 430 not informational note

The only motor I remember requiring a voltage drop calculation is a firepump.

Here is a tip that will let you answer many of your questions
In the PDF version of the NEC, do a search for voltage drop. Lacking that, firms finder has a good index.

If I am not mistaken Maryland, like many states (including the entire west coast) has it in the Energy code.
