First part of it says "Motor and motor-operated equipment receiving electric energy from more than one source".
This could be motor operated equipment that for whatever reason is supplied by more than one branch circuit - there you would need disconnect for every branch circuit.
It could also be something with a backup supply of any type, - you would need to disconnect the main supply as well as the back up supply.
There could be some kind of parallel or redundant supply in operation - but I won't go too much into that as I have no experience with any such things, but can see that there would be more than one energy source.
