These are teh only tables I know of in the code whwere the first table is for over 600 volts and the second table isfor less than 600 volts. I think that is absurd. I made a proposal to chagne these two around, but it was rejected, stating that it would be illogical. Am I up in the night on this one, or do other people hate it too?

Ryan, countless times I have started reading Table A when I should be reading B.

IMO it is backward.

It inconstant from the rest of the NEC

Right from the start Article 100 is dived in two parts, below 600 V first than above 600.

Article 110, II. 600 Volts, Nominal, or Less than III. Over 600 Volts, Nominal

Article 250 tacked at the end of 250 is Grounding of Systems and Circuits of 1 kV and Over (High Voltage)

I don't get what the CMP means.

For the casual user this may be an issue. I use this table enough that I am aware that they put them backwards in there order. Some people just do not want to admit there may be a better way.

It is like the table you put a proposal in for, they accepted that. It does help the guys we teach, and I am sure that is where you may have formulated your proposal from.
