How many #6 DC wires can I fit in a 2" conduit? Do I have to de-rate the conductors in the same fashion I would AC power conductors?

Last time I checked, the NEC did not differentiate between AC and DC for derating purposes.

True, it makes no difference whether it's AC or DC. Since you are asking about #6 I have to believe this is a class 1 circuit. Art 725.51(A) applies which covers derating.
