I know the code book states that 600 nominal volts are allowed to be shared in the same raceway low-voltage and high-voltage if the insulation is rated the same. But, I was always taught that is was not to code, unless it's used to service or control the same device. Can I get some more clarity on this? 480/120 is my working voltage.

As far as the NEC you can run 120 and 480 in the same raceway.

Some job specs may require separate conduits.
It only becomes an NEC issue if your 120 happens to be a Class 1 Remote Control and Signalling circuit operating at 120V. In that case the association rules apply even though Chapter 3 wiring methods are used.

The inspector will probably take particular interest in whether the two voltage systems' conductors (including neutrals) are properly identified at every point where they are accessible. (Easiest to do with color, but not the only way.)
