Hi all,

Is there anything prohibiting a 480 - 208 75kva xformer in a NEMA 3R enclosure from be located outside on the edge of a roof where it would only be accessible via a ladder?

And on a side note, for CNC equipment that states 200-240V 3P is there any reason to expect the equipment to run better on 240V vs 208?

Hi, and welcome to the forum.

Not that I'm aware of.

And on a side note, for CNC equipment that states 200-240V 3P is there any reason to expect the equipment to run better on 240V vs 208?
Maybe not run better per se, but the higher the voltage, the lower the current and the voltage drop.

They did that when they gutted the building at a elementary school near my house, not pretty but functional, & got rid of the existing Zinsco gear.
