I would like to know if there is such a thing as a 480v to 208v buck transformer for a 65 amp load. We're trying to get the load on the 208v panel reduced in a commercial kitchen and area in the kitchen is very limited. The 65 amp load is for a water booster heater for a dishwasher

3 PH? I would use a standard 480 to 208 Y transformer.
Yes it is 3 phase and yes I know I need a transformer. That part I got. The thing is space is at a bare minimum in this kitchen so a standard 30kva transformer is absolutely way too big. Commercial kitchens tend to be tight on space especially in the franchise world which this one is. What I need to know is if there is a buck transformer out there from 480v to 208v that would be small like the buck boost transformers I've seen that just buck or boost from 208v to 230v for a load on a piece of equipment. Theyre usually about the size of a shoe box but much heavier obviously Ideally it would be nice to mount it above the suspended ceiling on a wall.
