Is it allowed to have more than one piece of equipment on a 480 volt circuit? Something like 30 amp 480 feeding three or four receptacles. Or two pieces of equipment on the circuit?

Sure.
There are some limitations on loads which you can check out in 210.21-210.24

Multi-outlet circuits can be used at just about any voltage rating.

There are the limitations augie mentioned in 210.21 - 24.

Can even be common to have multiple receptacles (at any rating) on a single circuit for a single utilization equipment that maybe gets moved from one location to another.

Yes they will be moving the equipment to different locations, they will have a spare piece of equipment for break down times, its not planned to have both plugged in at one time but if they do I guess it will just trip the breaker out, just like any branch circuit would.
