480V Feeder through 12.47KV vault

If I have a 480V feeder, can I run this feeder through a vault that has a M.V. (12.47KV) switch and 12.47KV feeders running through it? I was thinking it may be allowed if I used 15KV cable for the 480v feeder. Is this a violation? If not, any other considerations or common practices in the industry that would go against this line of thinking?

Why not just run it in RMC and use 600V wire?

I am not certain I know what you mean by "vault." You might start with 300.3(C)(2), particularly sub paragraph (e), and see if your answer is there.
