480V lighting ballast

Contractor doing parking lot lighting says you can not order these lights with 480V ballasts installed from the manufacture .Says you can order 480V ballast seperate and install them yourself but manufacture's will not do this at the plant . Would like any opinions as I don't see this as a true statement....

480 voltage site lighting is very common. I have never had to order a ballast seperatly. Is it a major manufacture that the contractor is dealing with? If so I would say he's fishing for a C/O.

Without knowing the type of light, manufacturer, model #, warehouse #, wholesaler, catalog # supply house phone number,,,there's no way anybody here can prove your contractor wrong

This is the second anti 480 volt ballast post this week. What started this nonsence ??????????????
