480v tray cable used in schools

Can you run 480V tray cable in cable tray above a drop ceiling in a school? The AHJ has no stance on the matter. The space above the drop ceiling is not a plenum. The school has designated maintenance employees.

I really do not see why you could not of course as long as the installation is NEC standard and secure.
