I would like to add TVSS protection to an existing service in a light commercial building. The unit is a Scientific Atlantic Zone Defender. There are two models available. One is a 480V 3 Phase Delta and the other is a 480V 3 Phase Wye.
The panel is 600 Amp, 480V. Inside the panel are 3 Legs, N, and G. Would this system be a Delta or a Wye? How would this be determined? The loads are lighting, AC units and several stepdown x-formers.
The existing panel next to it that has a TVSS wired directly to the main lugs and is set inside the disconnect. A small round gray canister with 1/2" ko and x4 10 AWG leads. Should these be fused?
I'd rather ask a dumb question then make a stupid mistake!
