This should be pretty much a "no-brainer" but, I am going to be asked to make a ruling on an installation that has either CAT 5 or COAX cable for a CCTV system installed with 480v conductors in the same u/g PVC conduit, u/g pullbox and parking lot light pole. I don't have all of the info yet, such as the insulation ratings of the cable or even the exact type of cable. I do know that the cable is run up the light pole with the 480v conductors and that neither is in its own conduit nor is there any separation barriers. My question is in referencing an NEC article that applies to CCTV systems. I know 820 is there for CATV, but it does not mention CCTV. Being one of those inspectors that insists on having a Code section to cite before issuing a fail ticket (and knowing who I am going to be dealing with-argh!) I would like to be a little better prepared before Wednesday. Any help?
