480volt parking lot lighting

I have 480 volt parking lot lighting pole circuits 350' from source at which point circuits head in different directions can I run one egc to junction box or do i have to run one for each circuit? voltage drop has been calculated! egc is run to each pole and now the old question of ground rod at each pole for lightning or not?
 
A single EGC is permitted as long as it is sized for the largest OCPD protecting the conductors. You mentioned voltage drop so don't forget about 250.122(B). The issue of a ground rod at each pole is a design issue. Assuming a concrete base with a rebar cage, I don't see any real advantage to installing a ground rod.

..wait.... If lighting hit 1 pole, would the g-rod prevent the lighting from traveling through the conductors to other poles??

like I said, I dont know why they have us do it, but I would hope there is a reason for it

off the subject: they also have us run #4 cu to g-rods

If a light pole takes a direct lightning hit you can kiss it goodbye whether there's a ground rod or not. I love light poles with ground rods though...it's a great place to connect my Metrotech to when I'm locating underground cables.
