4sq metal box rating

In a exposed ceiling environment with metal trusses and metal decking, I need to mount boxes for ceiling fans and chandeliers.

Can I use a regular 4sq box with a 4" round mud ring? Does anyone know what that is rated for?

Every fan rated box I've seen has #10 screws.

Fan boxes don't qualify just because they're metal.

You don't need a fan rated box if the box is not the sole support for the fan. There are a lot of ways to accomplish this.

Truth.
Those "a lot of ways" usually make for a much more secure fan.
But a fan rated box sure can make it a lot simpler to install.
