50 amp shore power

Do I need GFI or gfpe protection on a 50 amp Hubble shore power receptacle on a dock, I'm located in Soutwest Florida and the problem I am having is that it is becoming a continuous tripping problem when the customer plugs in...

30 mA is GFPE protection

5 mA is GFCI protection

Either could theoretically be at any branch circuit rating - 20, 30, 50...amps of overcurrent protection

5 mA can be subject to capacitive leakage causing undesired tripping and is better limited to specific items or at least an individual branch circuit and not a feeder where there can be multiple branches connected to that will add to the possible capacitive leakage. 5mA protection can even have too much capacitive leakage on a single branch circuit but with long circuit length. In that sort of case it is best to place the protection closer to the load instead of at the beginning of the run.
