I'm wiring a car charger that comes with a 50 amp 4 wire range plug. (NEMA 14-50) Customer wants it on the side of the house. I'm having trouble finding a weatherproof in-use cover for that. Anyone do this and have a solution?

Ever seen one of that style that is practical to use with a 50 amp cord cap and 8 or 6 AWG cord? They may have correct opening available to fit a 50 amp receptacle but mostly useless otherwise.

Add to the cost a deep WP box - maybe even an extension if can't get enough volume, plus the receptacle and you are in price range of the item MAC suggested - and it has a lot more room for conductors then a bell box.

Go to Midwest Electric website and look up power outlets, U054.
Beefy, sturdy outlet boxes with whatever receptacle you need, with while-in-use cover.

U054 is going to give you a 14-50 receptacle. (you said whatever receptacle you need, yet gave a specific cat #);)
