50 feet rule

All,

I was told there was an exception to the 50 feet building entrance rul3. That if the cable sheathing/inner duct is less than 20% of the total cable in the room/building, that it was "OK" to allow a non-plenum sheath/cable.

I have nefer heard of this. Does anyone know this answer. I will continue to search throough the NEC for an answer.

David I am sorry that this thread was never responded to. I have not heard of this rule but it could be a building code rule. Maybe someone else can help

down here its 50 feet or in conduit no 20% rule allowed.
