The job has cable tray with tray cable run in conduit. The conduits do not cross the boundary. The area is C1D2. All cables are multiconductor cables. None of the cables are

Some conduits go to enclosures required to be explosionproof.

These will get conduit seal fittings. Am I correct that the outer jacket must be stripped and pulled back to where the cable jacket is past the seal fitting. Seems like a headache...

Other conduits go to gasketed, non-pressurized, enclosures.

Both 501.15(E)(2) and 501.15(E)(3) say that a seal is not required - great!
The Handbook text following 501.15(E)(2) says that if I am not sure if the cable can transmit gas, then a sealing fitting should be installed.
What's up with that? Or is it that this commentary referrring to pressurized systems?

Also, I presume that no boundary seal is required.
