501.17 - Process Sealing

501.17 defines requirements for process sealing of process connected electrical equipment including submerged pumps.

We are looking for a cable feed-through assembly for an existing pump to comply with 501.17. There are numerous products on the market, but all appear to be listed/labelled to international standards (IEC 60079).

Is anyone familiar with US NRTL listed feed-through assemblies? Any ideas, if field inspected, what would be the applicable US standard for the feed-through assembly to be listed to?
 
From an NEC perspective, it's a performance issue. Does it meet the description noted in Section 501.17? Then, it becomes an application of Section 500.8(A), specifically 500.8(A)(3). The fact that it is certified to IEC Standards (500.8(A)92) should help. The key is whether there are two process seals or an obvious drain path between the source and the rest of the wiring system.
