517.30(C)(3) and Seismic Design Category

In the following Mike Holt's forum, Seismic Design Category C and NEC Article 517.30 was discussed.

I am struggling to find the part where it references the IBC 2012 and the IBC 2012 says that it prohibits rigid connections to light fixtures. In my opinion, it throws a lot of terminology around and gets very close to mentioning it, but does not say it.

Also, in the CISCA (Ceilings and Interior Systems Construction Administraion) it very clearly identifies that IBC 2012 prohibits the use of rigid connections.

I'm needing to find exact references from either the ASTM E580 Section 4, IBC 2012, or the ASCE 07 2010. Is anyone familiar? Thank you.
