547.9(a) 4 Clerification

No overcurrent protection required at disconnecting means.

What if Service is brought down pole into building to ATS for optional standby system then back up pole to supply other buildings. Then I would think it would need Protection??? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you referring to 547.9(A)(7) and not (4)? That article refers to the isolating device only IMHO - You will still need OCP for the feeders.
