I got called to bid a job in a mobile home . They want to add a shed and add some outlets to their "attached" sun room. Looking at the exterior panel on the mobile home and saw the name plate on it that says feed with 50 amp 4wire. I looked at the Meter main next to the house and saw a buried SOW cord. Normally I work on manufactured homes and hard pipe them all.
From reading 550 seems that you can connect that way, beside the SOW cord being buried.

The outlets in "attached" sun room, is were I have a question.

1 :Since the sun room is attached then I can't feed from the Meter main with a new circuit for the Sun room, Per 225.30. Correct?

2: I am looking were I can extend the existing electrical circuit in the mobile home to the "attached" sun room. I see 550.15, but as I remember reading that this section is for the construction of the mobile home and does not really apply. To me I don't see that I can extend since its not a permeant foundation and is easily movable, Unlike a manufactured home.

The previous electrical ran a dryer circuit from the meter main, to the mobile home and I don't feel that is correct and is in violation of 225.30 that is were my paranoia is kicking in.

Your paranoia might be justified. Just a word of caution, sounds like there are multiple existing issues on this mobile home, some fairly serious, mostly "once you've touched it you own it" so be cautious. Ever see one of these go up in fire? Not much left to them. And almost always "they claim" fire to be "electrical in nature".
1. Is this in a park or private land?
In park options might be limited as intention is that the mobile home is removable.
2. Make recommendations to correct any shortcomings of the existing system and violations, making notation of each.
3. 225.30 does seem to be an issue, from existing perspective and in trying to run extra for the addition. And probably a violation when the dryer circuit was ran in that manner.
4. Sounds like you might be getting into an overload situation on the 50A SO cord connection. Question, the code in 550.10 calls for either permit wiring method or cord connection it also would appear if using a cord connection you would have a plug on the end and not direct wire, cords are not permitted to replace or substitute for perminant wireing, so is there a plug?
5. Check 550.19. While the reference is for multiple section mobile home, it seems if you can meet these criteria (accessible junction, and a disconnecting means as described in (A) and (B)), then extension from the MH panel into the add-on section can be achieved. As long as you have sufficient load capacity for the addition. Your load calculation (when you complete it) might mean a larger service be installed to meet the load demand.
6. Is the shed you reference a seperate structure? If so you might be able to power from meter main location.

it Is located in a park.
‘the so cord is hard wired to the mobile panel, with a Plug on the other end.
‘the shed is a detached building. I told the owner yesterday I can do the shed no problem but your other issue need to be addressed if I add the receptacles.
thanks for the response
