When you applied the demand you then don’t consider this a continuous load and then add that also correct.

Figure if a demand is there then they must not consider it continuous since your lowering load with demand correct.

Both add heat. Are you derating because of temperature outside or because of total run of wires in conduit? If you have 75 degree terminations but 90° wire so derate to 75 you don't need to derate more becuase the middle of the run has a full boat of wire in conduit or becuase of insulation. If the whole run termination to termination is needing derate and it's also a continuous load it might be good to give yourself some breathing room.
