Need to set a switch outside for 1800 amp @ 480v 5kv for a portable generator. Generator will be 480v with a boost transformer. House power and run wires are easy, but whats involved wit the 5kv feeder:-? Just thought to throw it up here for extra info.
is the transformer part of the generator and the temp connection is 5kv? Or is the transformer installed, and the temp connection 480v? Seems the latter would be better.
The transformer will be permanent at the pad and include in the price. The building will need 4160 to the transfer switch inside. looking for whats involved in termination, testing, and construction requirements.
