I am doing a hot tub install for a friend. I have not done one for quite a while. I was told that the 6 ft rule on non metallic flex is no longer in affect. Is that true? I have misplaced my code book on a job site,
otherwise I could look up myself.

FMC does not have a 6' limitation.
(The 6' comes into play in regard to FMC as a grounding means in Art 250.118)

The 2011 had a 6' limitation for flexible conduit for spas and hot tubs but that the 6' was deleted in the 2014 Nec.

That is not new and the permission to use LFNC in lengths longer than 6' goes back the the 99 code when LMFC was still in the same article as LFMC.

Ok, my bad, I seen it highlighted and I was at work so I assumed it was new.
