I have a request to install a new #6 ground from location of new T3 equipment to location of main switchboard and terminate on main building ground buss. Upon stating project I found that a # 6 wire was already installed to and bonded to water line and back to switchboard from T3 equipment. This may have been done by phone company. If this is not right is it all right to run to switchboard in free air not in conduit it would not be subject to any physical damage. Electricman
