Too cold to be outside today so a good excuse to catch up on office work -
I have approximately 5 500' spools of #6 AL SEU that I picked up really cheap when a local supplier went out of business. I recently have realized that it is taking up too much space in my warehouse and I need to start using it on projects. I am wiring a garage that is going to have a 240v. compressor and see no NEC '08 restrictions preventing me from using this cable for the circuit provided bare conductor is equipment ground only. I am also thinking of using it to supply some 240 v. ac compressors. Any input or ideas on other uses for this cable? I have considered '08 derating rules.

If you are just wiring straight 240 v equipment seu will work fine as long as you remember that it must be used at the 60C rating.
