In the conductor properties, it lists #6 with 7 strands, but not solid. Do you just use the that for sizing the bare conductor? thanks.

As far as I know, yes. #6 stranded should have the same cir. mil as #6 solid. Why do you need to know the cir. mil of the solid #6 wire?

Ken are you saying the cir. mil is 88.5% smaller on stranded wire? That does not sound correct.
Cmil is the same. OD is different.
I need to also change my original statement: Solid is not 88.49% smaller, but 11.51% smaller.

That may be true but I think the OP is thinking CMil-- my guess anyway

A solid conductor will be 88.49% smaller than stranded.
It would be 11.51% smaller, or 88.49% the size of stranded. 1/1.13.
