Re: 60% = 70% ????

lucky shadow, That is an excellent idea. I am an instructor at Del. Tech. at the Stanton Campus, and I teach the NEC, especially for electricians who will be taking the Masters and the Limited Exam.
I for one have remove the index tabs from my code book, because I can skim through the pages faster with no tabs. But, as you suggest, have them laid to the side, and use them for reference of where to go.
I will pass this on to my students, and I will be trying out what you have suggested. Great idea.

All,

Its been a long (8 year process) from EE to Apprentice to Journeyman to Master. Certainly the learning doesn't stop here. Thanks for all the kind thoughts.

Re: 60% = 70% ????

I did it (Master) about 3 years ago, and it was electronic, no paper.
Study the index in the back, (is it outdoor, receptacle, or receptacle, outdoor?) to quickly confirm your memory, and then the example chapter for load calculations.
Other than that it wasn't much, I didn't even have a 3 phase watts/VA question!

(I didn't read both pages before I replied....congrats., maybe my tips will help someone else1)

Wow. I didn't realize there were so many of us here. I'm in Richmond, and own my own business. Maybe we should plan a get-together sometime.

Scores were given when I tested, when Experior (Gaskins Rd) did the testing. I got a mid-90 grade on both my Master and Contractor tests.

One word of advice: When it comes to watts and volt/amps, remember that the power factor can never be greater than one! (Don't ask!)

Re: 60% = 70% ????

Ohio Construction Industry Examination Board requires Experior Assessments ( their contractor ) to provide you with an official score report if you pass. So many people were asking for an official score that they just made it standard practice.

Evidentally, I am not the only one who has nonsexy background and needs a sexy test score.
