60 amp gfi breaker issue

48amps fully loaded on one I can remember, not really acceptable for a 50amp breaker since I would say its continuous. Is that correct? Plus mechanical degradation will surely get those amps higher in years to come.

Unless they are operated very frequently (more than 500 times) breakers do not degrade mechanically. Of course there are statistical exceptions but this amount is in line with the NEMA and UL test requirements.

Once at temperature, a spa should not draw full load continuously.
