I am working with 600VAC equipment. Are there any minimum ampacity rules for wiring at 600VAC? For example, minimum wire gauge for 220V motors if 14AWG...anything similar to that at 600VAC?
Ampacity rules for conductors have no relation to voltage, unless maybe you change from Low Voltage (600 and under) to Medium Voltage (over 600V through 35kV) but even then only because the added insulation on MV cable starts to make a difference in terms of heat dissipation. Ampacity is about Amps.
