60A feeding 30A disconnect

Hey,
Question:
Is there any reason per NEC that it would not be allowable to feed a 30A, 3Phase, fused disconnect feeding a condensing unit with a 60A breaker and #6 THWN? Reason: They changed a single 45A condensing unit to two rated at 25A that are interlocked to not run simutaneously. and I'd like to use the breaker and feed we have installed

You are ok as long as the fuses in the 30A switch are less than or equal to the MOCP on the condensing unit.

The 60 amp portion of this installation is a feeder, the 30 amp portion is a branch circuit. Your feeder still has capacity to supply additional branch circuits if you ever desire to do so.
