Has anyone actually seen an engineer-supervised design for a busbar with multiple power sources & loads? I'm looking at 705.12-B-6, or similar depending on which code cycle we're talking about. What specifically were they checking, and did they reference any particular IEEE standard or other reference as the basis of their approval?

I have never seen one nor have I met any EE that was willing to take on the liability for one it will be interesting to see if others on here have seen them.
There were some proposals for the 2026 NEC to add more prescribed options but unfortunately they got rejected.

I'll say. Of relevance to this thread is that my proposals were rejected with a response to the effect "an engineer can do that under 705.12(B)(6), we don't need to clutter up the section further with more prescriptive allowances."

Cheers, Wayne
