#8 MC cable

Can #8 alum mc cable be used to feed a residential oven receptacle at 50 amps ?
75 degree rating is 50 amps so it looks like the most reasonable cost, even in a SF residence...

Not with aluminum conductors but copper yes. They make SER cable that should be cheaper for a house.

75°C rating is actually 40 amps. You would need #6 Al for a 50 amp circuit.
