I have a situation where I have two underground 1" conduits going from a building to a traffic arm under concrete. One of the conduits currently holds a 120VAC 20A circuit for lift the arm. The other conduit holds a 24VAC 2A circuit for controlling it. If I understand right, the 24VAC is a class 2 circuit. Can I run these two circuits in the same conduit as long as they are both insulated for the 120VAC circuit as they are both servicing the same system? I'm looking at NEC 725.136 (2017) here.
I would like to use one of the conduits for a new CCTV camera installation PoE cable near the traffic arm. I believe I may also be able to run the PoE cable and the class 2 circuit in the same conduit according to NEC 800.133. Is this correct?
If both options are possible, which is preferred. If I am wrong about one or both, please let me know!
I do apologize, I originally studied robotics and control systems, nothing about code. So I am learning the code while I work. Yes, I know, I need to take one of Mike Holt's Online Code Classes.
