Could you please provide a list of states that now except 84 circuit panels. Several states have now adapted the new code, but some have not.

I'm assuming that you mean for lighting and appliances, you could always install an 84 circuit panel board.

CA has not adopted the 2008 as of now.

Kentucky starts the 2008 code tomorrow Sept. 1st.....I wonder, will the sun still rise? Will the planets stay in motion? No big concerns since I see many here rolling on with the 08 code....cheers!

Oklahoma is into the '08, but each city can decide for themselves. OKC is still in the '02. Supposedly, changes are in the works to bring all the cities in line with the state. :)

FWIW, I believe this is the latest on which states have adopted the 08.

I have to question the "accuracy" of the data....it may be "up to" date.

NJ is on the '08, but the legend indicates we are still on the '05:

I haven't heard anything about that. Last I heard they were having a meeting in mid-September and would decide, which my inspector didn't think it would pass without amendments. Oh well, been using the '08 code anyways minus the TR receps in a few places.

The State of Kentucky has announced the adoption of the 2008 NEC which enhances protection of homes in Kentucky with additional AFCI protection and protection of children with tamper resistant receptacles.
The citizens of Kentucky should be proud of their elected officials and thank them for keeping electrical safety a high priority. The 2008 NEC will take effect on September 1, 2009.

Funny, this almost reads like we've got friends in our government afterall...lol
