So my aunt bought an 8kw gen. And the ahj asked me to do a load calculation. She only wants a couple of circuits like refrig, bed outlets , couple lights and well pump. I’m somewhat confused on what I need to do to calculate. Do I take the total amps x the volts(breaker that feed transfer switch) and then divide that answer by 1000 ? And that will be my kw for the exact amount the gen can handle in which that is what the ahj is looking for ? Need help if I’m wrong in the way im thinking
