I wonder if someone would do a quick check on some calculations I'm working up for a bid to redo the service on a apartment building
9 units with 6100 square feet total living area (small apartments)
electric range each apartment
no laundry facilities
electric baseboard heating
gas water heating
This is what I've come up with:
Square footage (living area) 6100
3VA per square foot 18300
18 small appliance circuits
@ 1500VA each 27000
general lighting & SA 45300
first 3000 @ 100% 3000
remainder at 35% 14805
total general lighting load 17805
electric space heating
6100 sq ft at 10watts/ft 61000
9 electric ranges, less than
12kW, table 220.55 24000
Total Load for service calc 102805
Load at 240V 1PH 428 A
Neutral Load using 70%
reduction for electric
ranges 144
No unbalanced load above
200A
I think I've covered everything. There are some house loads I need to add in, however I don't have them nailed down yet.
Anyone see anything that I'm missing? Any critique is welcome. I'd like to nail this, and if I've made an error, by all means let me know.
Thanks guys,
John
Sorry about the format. I don't know how to post a chart to make it easier to read
