Can you use XHHW-2 90 degree ampacity numbers for a service even though the terminations at the transformer are only rated 75 degrees. In this case 4 parallel 600 alum. for a 1600 amp service.

You can use the ninety degree column for your ampacity adjustments but the final number can't be greater than the seventy five degree column.
The only way to use the full 90°C ampacity is to transition in another enclosure (or cable tray). See page 4 of the following document. Don't forget, terminal temperature limitations apply on both ends of the conductor.

I know this doesn't apply here but if the voltage is over 1000V then you can use 90C. I just learned that so I had to post it...
