I'm throwing this out there as a possibility, but could I use a 90-degree EMT compression connector (http://www.homedepot.com/p/Halex-3-...ession-Connector-90292/100154530#.Uh58qH8piRI) as a means to connect two pieces of 3/4" EMT for low voltage wiring (fire alarm/security). I understand that the connector is for connecting EMT to a box/enclosure, but I have a really tight area that I need two small 90 degree bends.

Second option: Is it possible to pull #14 low voltage wiring or smaller from a j-box, through 3in of EMT to a 90 deg pull elbow, past 22' of 3/4" EMT, through another 90 deg pull elbow with 3in EMT, and out to another j-box (think of a long 'U' shaped run) without opening the covers on the pull elbows? Could a pull string, lube, and/or a vacuum do a run like this?

Sorry for the strange questions. I'm dealing with an unusual situation here.

I have always called them telephone els. They are made to be used so go ahead and use them.

I doubt even David Blaine could pull off that stunt.

Thanks, ActionDave! Would I need any other accessories in order to connect the box side of the connector to a piece of EMT? I would be using these connectors for the same run that I described with the 90 deg pull elbows.

Why don't you just use a pull elbow? I think by the time you jury rig another fitting to attach the box end to the EMT it would be bigger then the pull elbow.

EMT to flex

EMT to flex

I would put an EMT to flex coupling, short run of flex to the box and then a 90 deg flex connector into the box.
