96" LED

Anyone use 96" LED replacement lamps yet? If so, were you relatively happy with them?

That's kind of a loaded question. Are you asking about how well you can read the newspaper in a room lit with them?

Honestly, I did not know there were 8' led's.

Are you asking about self contained LED tubes that you eliminate the original ballast and supply the lamp holders with line voltage?

If so I have only worked with 4' ones and they where unimpressive.

These kits seem better and you can get the parts to retrofit an 8' florescent into a double 4' LED.

Yes, self contained that eliminate the ballast. Customer is using 96t12s in an unheated shop. Candles work better and light quicker in the weather we've had the last couple weeks.

We just installed 200' plus of 3 phase underground service so he could use his new welder, but the lights are fine. Sometimes I wonder.

The last couple of weeks I have been replacing florescent lights in walk in coolers and walk in freezers with LED. They do work so much better in the cold. Instant on, full brightness and I think the cold helps the life expectancy.
