99 versus 02/05

in doing some conduit fill calculations we have found that #12 thw has different sq in values from the 99 to the 02 and 05 codes, we are wondering what changed, insulation size etc

After several more checks it seems to be associated with THW insulation

Seems more to do with the conductors and insulation; have read some other places there may be mis prints in the early editions of the 02 code in the tables
