A/C and cooler condenser

I've been using solid wire to wire my condensers of course number 12 , the cooler guy came to me saying that is illegal to use solid wire for any condenser! I couldn't find it on my code book, have a blessed day ️

Probably in their install specs. (vibration)
To NEC I don't believe it to be illegal.

410.56(E) would require stranded conductors for fixture chain wiring. No such requirement for AC units.

Not illegal, just a trade practice. Vibration is a big problem which will cause solid wire to break. Stranded lasts longer.
