Need some help here. Can a disconnect for and air conditioner be used as a feed through for a branch circuit for a receptacle that is required by section 210.63. I cant seem to find a reason why it wouldn't be acceptable in the 2005 unless the disconnect mfg. specifically says it is not listed for that purpose.

Some AC disconnects have a 120 v outlet built in the same box. Under the same cover. Of course they're listed for that purpose.

I have never seen a disconnect with a built in transformer for the receptacle. I have installed many disconnects that have a built in GFCI receptacle but it requires a separate circuit be pulled to supply it.
