I have to change a burned out a c motor that is 9 lead, dual voltage ( currently wired low voltage )
wye wound.
I was sent a motor that is delta wound and want to know if this is O K as long as I wire it by the nameplate ?
The motor drives a hydraulic pump.

Re: a c motors

Should be fine. For the very common, 9-lead, 230/460V., 3-phase motor, that is started across-the-line, it should not matter.

Re: a c motors

The wye or delta configuration is not a problem as long as the motor is of the correct horsepower rating and is supplied with the proper voltage.
