Hello i'm doing some exam prep and a couple of questions are hard to find
I was hoping that someone could help me here.

#1 Arc-faults not required. the test wants 3 answers and i can only find 2.
art.760.41B non powered fire alarm circuits.
art. 760.121B power limited fire alarm circuits.

#2 What is the minimun clearance for incandescent resessed luminaire installed on the ceiling of a closet, with a storage shelf of 10 inches
on both sides and the back wall.

My friend say it is 18 inches.
I found in art. 410.16C3 only 6 inches.

Thanks for any help you can give me. :)

Arc faults are not required in kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms or garages.

Question #2....you are correct but the trim must completely enclose the lamp.

On question number 2 your friend is measuring the distance from the wall which would be 18". You are measuring from the storage area which should be considered 12" even if the shelve is only 10".

this is the second time for the test in minnesota.
they say it has a 60% failure rate. I been cramming for over a year
and i'll tell ya it wasn't no cake walk the first time.

A guy who worked for me told me he'd failed the Juorneyman test four times. Egad! I can't imagine failing it once.
