i've gotta quote four 1ph 208v twist locks, in a computer room.

panels less that 60' away. steel tube, stranded wire, twist lock device.
t bar ceiling.

4th floor, 12 story building. usual stuff to deal with, in building administrators.
named insured, etc.

is $1k per outlet reasonable? they are all located within 10' of each
other, on the same wall of the same room.

thanks....

Are they IG?
Does each recept get it's own pipe?
Is the ceiling fairly clean and accessible?
How high (feet) is the work to be done?
How many recepts altogether?
Do you have to do the work on a scheduled shutdown on a weekend?

These are some of the contributing factors that I could think of.

Even dealing with the building management issues your talking about two men two days (max) and about $400 in materials so you should do good!
EVEN CONSIDERING WEST COAST ELECTRICIAN's RATES :D

weekend is preferable for me. it's a law firm.

thanks for your replies.... it seems a bit steep, as you say, but when
all is said and done, i bet it comes out about right. there's a lot of wheel
spinning with something like this, and i'll probably end up in there july third,
in the middle of the night....

there's other aspects of the work as well, but i wanted to see where my
annoyance surcharge meter was calibrated to....:D

the new fileserver room door will have to have a make up air vent cut into it.
solid core mahogany door.... no dust involved, etc. other misc stuff...

hey. watch that.

the irony is that this is an expensive place to live, but wages here don't support
that.

everybody here lives somewhere else. people who work in LA, can't afford to
live in santa monica, so they live in orange crate. people who work in orange
crate can't afford to live there, so they live in corona. people who work in corona
can't afford to live there, so they live in san bernadino....

people who work in san bernadino, can't afford to live there, so they live
in victorville.

people who work in victorville, well they REALLY have problems... :D

so everyone drives an hour each way to work. all eleventeen billion of us.
thank god for the massive unemployment. it's cut down the congestion on
the roads a bit.

and with the postive aspects of the real estate collapse, you can now afford
to live were you work, except that you don't have that job anymore....

and the commuting problem solved itself :D:D..... how cool is that?
