Hello,
I inspected a new house today and have a few questions:

1. are all receptacles within 6' of wet bar sink required to be GFCI protected? Including those on wall well below countertop? 10-24-11 045 (Medium).jpg

2. how about a recept in a bathroom on the wall (about 7' from floor) designed for a TV?

Thanks

210.8(A)(1)and(7) is this what your looking for ? All the outlets mentioned have to be GFI protected. The wet bar outlet located well below the counter, if it is within 6 feet of the sink it needs gfi.

Since an appliance cord would be used "as the crow flies" measurement, I would say the wet-bar receptacle would need to be GFCI protected as long as it's within 6 ft measured along any line,
As far as the bath, 210.8 simply says "bathrooms", so I would say that encompassed ALL.
From an inspectors viewpoint when it involves a relative inexpensive safety item such as a GFCI, I tend to always take the more stringent
philosophy.
