After talking with the other Moderators about appropriate language on this forum I think I should remind everyone about the rules before anyone is surprised there post has been removed or edited.

No bathroom jokes, no sexist comments, no slipping a couple of 'Xs' into a word to 'hide it'. We all still know what it says, please find a better way to express yourself.

Thanks, Bob.

Cliff,

Long as your not smearing anyone, you'll be okay.

Here are the rules that have been in effect for quite while.

Let's face it, George. You might as well say that any post is subject to relocation if someone gets a hair in crosswise. That's pretty much the case. Make up the rules as you go. No big deal. We're all guests.

I've seen some "house additions" done with plywood political signs! Like the guy said, didn't matter what party they were, a week after the election, they are all "litter", and he was just on a clean up campaign. Have to respect the resourceful individuals who can take a blight, and make it do double duty the rhe right way!

By the way, it wasn't a cheap house, just a smart guy knowing the value of a buck.

Hey bob,

What is OT? That was the reason for you deleting my post questioning your deleting my first post about me thinking you deleted my other post out of line.

Off topic.

That's an odd sentence. :D

Should have guessed that myself, Thanks.

It IS an odd sentence :). Sometimes I think iwire might have it in for me. My post was not offensive just questioning. I'm mean come on. I would guess 5% of the post under the NEC forum are somewhat off topic

ah ... this post is going to get the ax isn't it? {Moderator's note: No, but it will get the profane word deleted.}

How am I ever going to build my post count to the thousands?

Can I be a moderator? Do you have to win some kinda raffle to be one or is just who you know

To become a forum moderator you must:

  • Be registered for 6 months
  • Participate in the forum. You don't have to post every day, just monitor the posts (thats what the moderators do), and comment where necessary
  • If after 6 months, you are still interested in becoming a moderator, contact one of the moderators via email
Once you meet the above requirements you can contact one of the moderators to be considered for the position.

In the event we wish to increase the number of moderators, we may contact someone who we feel like has been helpful and doesn't fly off the handle easily.

This has been posted for at least a few years.

From the forum rules.
we at this forum reserve the right to delete any message for any or no reason whatsoever.

While we have that right it is better if you all police yourself.

Make up the rules as you go.

The fact we have a thread here trying to explain how to avoid deletions should show we would rather not make it up as we go.

But the rules can not cover every possible situation, at that point we do what we feel is best for the forum.

When I read this posting the first thing that came to mind was that you sound just like you have a "hair in crosswise." Funny how that works out.
